Auto-degradation is plagues gas turbines. Once the additives in turbine oil deplete, the oil becomes saturated with soluble soft contaminants. These contaminants form varnish deposits.

SVR™ restores the solubility of the oil by removing the soluble varnish causing contamination that other technologies can't. SVR™ Soluble Varnish Removal skids: Soluble varnish removal SVR™ targets and removes the dissolved varnish pre-cursors which are the cause of varnish. Through particulate removal and by removing waste oxidation by-products, solid varnish deposits can be dissolved back into the oil where they are removed permanently. This also results in long-term varnish prevention. Only SVR™ technology can remove oxidation by-products while still in solution to prevent precipitation and deposit formation in low flow and cool zones (servo valves). SVR™ Systems with ICB™ Filters purify turbine and compressor lubricants as well as phosphate ester fluids.

Varnish Test Kits: Use the Varnish Test Kits for comprehensive oil analysis to identify hydraulic and lube oil reservoirs with a high potential for varnish formation in turbine oil and remove varnish. VTK varnish potential test kits yield Membrane Patch Colorimetric for lube oil varnish potential per ASTM D7843-12. On-site access to laboratory grade testing allows for quicker status reports of analysed fluids and assists in proactive maintenance. VTK has an upgraded spectrometer for ease in testing and accuracy with an expected life cycle of more than 5 years.

TMRN²: This is an active breather system that maintains the air in the headspace of a tank that continuously introduces clean dry Nitrogen. As the dry N² transfers through the headspace, the oil gives up its water striving to achieve equilibrium with the dry Nitrogen. TMRN² reduces and maintains water to <200ppm and prevents airborne water particulate and metal ions from entering the reservoir. It removes combustible dissolved gases and reduces fluid breakdown, for extended fluid life. Nitrogen will remove combustible gases from the oil to reduce oxidation and fluid breakdown.
